I provide in-person and teletherapy services. I offer outdoor based therapy interventions where we will often meet at public park settings. I have found that Ecotherapy can be a successful technique for individuals who struggle with life transitions, self esteem, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. The activities can vary depending on the season and person. Some examples are: forest bathing, fishing, folfing, snowshoeing, forest foraging, swimming, rafting, skiing etc. Ecotherapy is an alternative approach which may be useful to you if you struggled with traditional in-office therapies. Ecotherapy is an alternative approach that combines the inherit benefits of being in nature with psychotherapy. Nature has been proven to benefit our physical and mental health in a variety of ways and I wish to capitalize that benefit to help you with your personal struggles. Mental health struggles are often complex and deeply entrenched in our lives. They can take time to understand and work through. Sometimes we need an alternative type of therapy to work through these struggles. I aim to provide that service to you if you are seeking therapy for the first time or have worked with other therapists.

Sessions are currently available, in office and equine assisted psychotherapy. I inherently care about helping you and value your unique life. I'm not a passive counselor who leans back in her chair behind a clipboard muttering an occasional “um-hum.” I am genuinely interested in hearing your story and helping you discover tools and insights to heal and grow. I view you as the expert of your own life and can help you explore patterns and beliefs, help challenge and inspire you and find solutions for change. My ultimate goal is to work with you to create empowerment, freedom and joy in your life. I have worked with a wide variety of mental health challenges but it is very important to me to focus not on the diagnosis, but on the person in front of me. My approach is customized to each individual I work with, and clients come away feeling respected and valued rather than just treated like another client in a lineup. Please reach out to me with any questions you have. I have worked for 20 years as a coach and am honored to have the opportunity to now help in the field of mental health. I work at the office in Kalispell as well as at the stable. I'm supervised by Christine Hurst.

I've noticed a trend in our culture today where we often focus on the differences between people, but in reality we have a lot more in common. We are all going through life experiencing similar struggles with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, compariness, loneliness, etc. We also share so many life experiences and transitions with one another whether it's going through starting a career, marriage, divorce, parenthood, aging, losing a loved one, or having relationship difficulties, we can all relate and connect. Oftentimes though, we need additional support through these transitions. I work with both men and women, but I specialize in working with women. Women have their own unique and beautiful journeys that I can relate to. I utilize a variety of techniques based on individual needs and goals and specialize in Christian Counseling if desired. I believe in walking alongside people. I believe we are our own experts in our lives, but sometimes we need additional support and guidance along the way. I hope to have the privilege of walking alongside you throughout this journey of life.

I have a passion for working with people who are in need of surrendering old coping skills and behaviors that no longer serve them. This may be challenging those "old" thought patterns when they arise, or allowing space for a "new" point of view or voice to be heard. The therapeutic relationship should be a place where one can practice setting boundaries, empowering themselves, and self advocating. My practice includes an integrative and somatic psychotherapy approach. Modalities include EMDR, CBT, attachment theory, neurodevelopment and psycho-education, and somatic techniques. My goal is to help people develop skills to increase overall life functioning. This may mean setting boundaries or replacing old coping mechanisms. It also may look like settling back into your body and re-learning what your needs are. My approach is warm and relational, but I am also here to compassionately challenge old beliefs that no longer serve us. I know how rooted we can become in our own narratives, and how disconnecting this can be in our relationships. I am here to support you deeply in the internal or external transition you are seeking.

As humans, we were not meant to walk through life alone. Oftentimes when we face the hurt and deep wounds we have incurred over time, we find ourselves feeling disconnected and hopeless. More than anything, what we need is the help of others who will delve into these sacred places with us and help us navigate through the uncertainty and emotions that we hold beneath the surface. As your therapist and guide, I am here to help carry these burdens with you so you can walk in emotional freedom and heal from the root of the pain. I provide a safe space to hear your story as we walk through the pain together. I use a wide variety of therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Christian Counseling, EMDR, Emotional Freedom Therapy, Parts of Self Work/IFS, and Trauma Therapy to uncover the belief system that may be hindering your growth process. This is your time for you to get away from the demands of life and focus on yourself. It is time for you to discover you. Focusing on yourself is not selfish; it is an act of caring for yourself. I am honored to journey with you as you discover who you were really meant to be.

We all encounter moments in life that can create a ripple effect in the way we view and treat ourselves. These moments may exacerbate symptoms we would normally be able to manage or they may be the catalyst for something we have never experienced. The coping mechanisms we have used to survive in the past do not define us, and with the support of a good team, we can begin to learn new skills to help move us forward. Finding the right person to talk to can be a first step in finding a path to (re)discovering a more regulated and integrated self. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Candidate (SWLC) specializing in trauma-informed care, grief, and support for first responders. My background is in emergency mental health and outpatient care. I utilize a combination of modalities and skills as well as encourage creative practice, self-compassion, and body movement in nature. I offer in-person and telehealth therapy. Along with traditional talk therapy services I specialize in embodied practice, encouraging movement in nature as a healing modality. I utilize movement and activity in nature to break down barriers and help us collaboratively explore your therapeutic goals.

I offer compassionate virtual therapy for individuals in Montana and California. I am a licensed Therapist who uses Internal Family Systems (IFS). I specialize in helping navigate life transitions and the accompanying confusion, fear and loss. I aim to help you find your strengths in moments of hopelessness and use the skills you may not know you have. I am trained through the IFS Institute in Internal Family Systems. IFS helps you to understand why you react in certain ways at certain times. For example: "I'm a nice person but when they trigger me I turn into someone so mean!" IFS is a way to connect WITH your feelings instead of just talking ABOUT them. While working with teens that I learned even the most skeptical clients can be surprised by the benefits of therapy. I work with authenticity, compassion, gentle directness and humor. Together we can explore the experiences that shaped your life and find new ways of moving forward towards peace, balance and happiness.
